How do I avoid overwriting workbook formulas?
Formula cells are shaded cool gray but remain editable in Excel. Enter data in the cream cells, avoid pasting over gray cells, and keep the original files as a backup. The Google Sheets workflow uses warning-only formula ranges so your personal copy stays editable while warning you before changes.
